Driver Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Chapara driver network. By registering as a driver and accepting the network agreement in your Chapara account, you agree to them.

"Chapara" means Chapara Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17361660.

1. Eligibility

To join the Chapara driver network, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid driving licence.
  • Hold any licences required for your vehicle or private hire work.
  • Operate within Chapara's service area.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.

These are your own confirmations. Chapara does not check or hold your driving licence, private hire licence or insurance documents, and does not verify your eligibility with any licensing authority. Keeping them valid remains your responsibility throughout your participation.

2. Participation

By joining Chapara, you agree to host a Chapara display screen in your vehicle and to show the advertising Chapara schedules to it during active campaigns.

The screen must remain installed and switched on for the duration of the assigned campaign unless otherwise instructed by Chapara.

3. Campaign allocation

Campaigns are allocated by Chapara based on advertiser requirements, vehicle availability and operational needs.

Chapara cannot guarantee that a campaign will always be available.

4. Payments

Drivers receive payment for completed active advertising campaigns assigned to their vehicle.

Payments are made monthly following campaign verification and approval.

No payment is made during periods when no active advertising campaign is assigned.

Payment is for hosting and looking after the screen and for completing the requested verification. It is not calculated from the number of trips you make, the fares you take, or the passengers you carry.

5. Chapara promotional display

When no advertiser campaign is available, Chapara may install or display its own promotional material until the next campaign becomes available.

6. Installation

Chapara is responsible for supplying, installing and maintaining the display screen and its mounting, and for the advertising content shown on it.

Drivers must not modify, replace or remove advertising materials without prior approval.

7. Driver responsibilities

Drivers agree to:

  • Keep the screen securely mounted and switched on during active campaigns.
  • Keep the screen clean, unobstructed and visible to passengers.
  • Notify Chapara if the screen becomes damaged or stops working.
  • Complete any requested campaign verification.
  • Keep contact and vehicle information up to date.

8. Verification

Chapara may request photo verification during an active campaign to confirm that the screen is correctly installed and displaying the campaign.

Failure to provide reasonable verification may delay or prevent campaign payment.

9. Vehicle standards

Vehicles participating in the Chapara network should be clean, safe and presented to a professional standard throughout active campaigns.

10. Licensing & platform compliance

Drivers are responsible for ensuring that participation in the Chapara programme complies with the requirements of their own licensing authority and any ride-hailing platform they use.

Chapara cannot provide legal or licensing advice relating to individual licensing authorities or platform policies.

11. Ownership

All display screens, mountings and campaign equipment remain the property of Chapara unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Suspension or removal

Chapara reserves the right to suspend or remove drivers from the network where:

  • Advertising materials are intentionally removed or damaged.
  • Verification requirements are repeatedly ignored.
  • False information has been provided.
  • Participation may negatively affect the integrity or reputation of the Chapara network.

Where we issue a warning, suspend or remove a driver, we will tell you the reason in your Chapara account.

13. Ending participation

Drivers may leave the Chapara network at any time by contacting Chapara.

All Chapara advertising materials must be returned or removed by Chapara before participation ends.

14. Changes to these Terms

Chapara may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Where changes are significant, participating drivers will be notified before the updated terms take effect.

15. Contact

If you have any questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, please contact the Chapara team before joining the network. See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data.
